Deep Linking to Uber app or using the oath API?

I see many of the android apps that are integrated with Uber have done deep linking into the uber app (Eg: Google Maps, Transit App). So, they don't really sign in the user into the app but just provide cost estimations of some general user.
I think this integration is the simplest for any app since it doesn't involve any external app getting a oauth signup.

What does the uber hackathon expects? Does it expect a full fledged signup inside my app itself?

Hio Ahmed- You are correct that most of the current integrations in the past have been done using deep linking, which is the easiest solution. For this hacakthon, we wanted to celebrate the release of the "Request" endpoint that we just announced. If you look at our judging criteria and rules, we don't specifically say that you MUST use the Request endpoint. However we will give additional credit to those who use the Request endpoint. Hope this helps and good luck!

Effective use of the Uber API:
Does the application take advantage of most of the endpoints that the Uber API has to offer? Does the application use the newly announced “Request endpoint”?
